Hackathons

Step-by-step instructions on how to participate in a Pond Hackathon

Note: The Hackathon platform is currently undergoing final testing and will launch in the coming weeks.

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to use the Hackathon platform.

  1. Browse the Hackathon homepage to find hackathons that interest you. Note the status of the hackathons:

    1. Upcoming: The hackathon hasn't begun yet, but you can view its details and schedule. Click Remind me to get notified when it starts.
    2. Live: The hackathon is currently active. Review the details and if it appeals to you, dive in and start building!
    3. Past: The hackathon has concluded. Explore the Project Gallery and winning projects to discover inspiring ideas and talented builders.
  2. Click on a hackathon card to view its details. Review them carefully to understand the goals and requirements.

  3. If the hackathon interests you, click Register and complete your information. While you'll need a team to participate, don't worry if you're solo—you can create a one-person team or connect with other builders from our community and past hackathons. Once you've registered successfully, you're ready to start hacking!

  4. After registering, you'll find the project submission button on the right side of the hackathon page. When your work is ready, click it to submit!

You can upload presentations, demo videos, or even working prototype to showcase your work.

You can submit your project early and edit it anytime before the hackathon deadline. Your submission will remain private and won't appear in the Project Gallery until after the deadline, ensuring your work stays protected.

  5. After the hackathon ends, all submitted projects will be displayed in the Project Gallery, where the community and judges can review and vote on them. The hackathon details outline the specific judging criteria and awards. Winning projects will be highlighted in the Project Gallery, and their teams will receive prize notifications.

  6. Furthermore, the winning project teams are eligible to launch their projects on Pond Markets, gaining access to Pond infrastructure and acceleration support. Recognized by both the community and the market, these projects continue their journey with backing from Pond and early users.
